I was a social media manager for a chain of bars here in Ann Arbor for awhile. It’s a ton of work, but I’d love to do it for you guys because it’s different when you care about the thing you are promoting. This is me throwing my hat in the ring—I’m interested!

Man, if the Dreadnoughts came to Michigan my head would explode.

Hopefully after the show...

Dude, no kidding. I’m a bartender and was wearing a Dreadnoughts shirt to work a few weeks ago and this dude told me he saw them play in Hamtramck many years ago. I can’t believe I missed it.

HOLY SHIT I WAS JUST THINKING THAT. DREADNOUGHTS AT SMALLS! I'd love for them to play in Grand Rapids, but I don't think we've got the population to make that happen compared to Detroit.

Dude, can you imagine them at St. Andrew’s Hall? Better yet, i’d love to get them at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. That place is pure punk rock.

Hooooly shit. Blind Pig could totally do a Dreadnoughts show. It's totally their speed, or at least what I imagine would be their speed.

GUYS IF YOU LIKE OHIO YOU WILL PROBABLY LIKE MICHIGAN WE ARE VERY SIMILAR EXCEPT WHEN YOU BRING THAT UP TO ANY OF US WE ARE VERY DIFFERENT.

Man oh man, does this sound familiar. It's the same rigamarole in publishing – even if you're lucky enough to sign with a publisher who has a marketing department, a lot of that falls to the author as they're the one with a social media following. My publisher does not have a marketing department, which is why two years have elapsed between finishing Vol.1 and starting Vol.2. But boy have I Engaged Online, and have the burnout to prove it! It seems like the same deal for most artists online, with a few medium-specific variations, but the same overall trend of juggling a full-time social media management job with attempts to be creative. Feels like spitting into the wind most of the time. I really hope you can find someone to help shoulder the burden!

Amen to not having to split your brain between making music/living life and doing social media nonsense. I've had to train myself not to whip the camera out at concerts and just enjoy the music. Never thought about how miserable it is to have to churn out content that's purely obligatory. Hope somebody can assist.

That said, I hope you keep the insane twitter posts. Feet pics for the win!!

All that and add time to sleep, eat, drink, poop, spend time with family, and hold a day job? Yecch. I hope you get help soon. That Nick fella seems qualified and he’s centrally located too. I’d offer, but I’m just not that clever and also I’m too busy saving the world from drowning in sewage. Good luck! I sure wish I had known about the foot pictures…
